Do you struggle with an inner critic that holds you back from reaching your full potential? For small business owners, imposter syndrome can manifest in various ways, from constantly questioning their decisions and abilities to fearing that they will be exposed as a “fraud” despite their achievements. This inner critic can lead to overworking, perfectionism, and even procrastination, as the fear of failure becomes paralyzing. Guest Heather Jones shares her insights on imposter syndrome and explains why our inner critic can be so noisy and loud.
Quotes from the show
When it comes to imposter syndrome, your inner critic is saying things that indicate that you’re a fraud, right? That you’re a fake. That somebody is going to find out. Just go ahead and put out that thing that you’ve created or say that thing that you want to say in public, in front of everybody, and just wait, because they’re going to know that you’re a fraud, that you’re not really cut out for this, right?
Heather Jones
